Rain changes plans, but McFarland Homecoming spirit shines
After their annual parade was canceled due to rain, McFarland students brought Hollywood flair, class films and dance performances to campus for a homecoming rally. McFarland High School students in McFarland, California, continued their school spirit throughout the school's homecoming celebration despite a change in plans due to rain. The tradition of a parade was cancelled just two days before the celebration, but students remained positive and focused on school spirit. They created a new tradition, creating a "Hollywood" theme with each class creating their own short films and performing on campus. Despite the change, junior student council members remained determined to give it their all, not just for themselves but for younger students who missed their annual parade. Celebrations continued as students prepare for their homecoming game against the Arvin Bears.
