The Truckee High School football team was surprised by a special visitor during practice this week.
A black bear ran across the football field while the players and coaches watched in awe.
The team posted the video to Instagram saying, "The possibilities at a football practice in Truckee are vast snow, lightning storms, hail, coyotes taking out voles or maybe the birds of prey swooping down on the varmints or a Black Bear making his way through old wetlands of Meadow Lake."
The bear didn't stop or make any threats. He was just passing through.
The Truckee High School football team will be in Fresno on Saturday, June 8th — without the bear.
