Pedestrian dies after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 99 near Minter Field Airport
Multiple reports were received regarding a person down in the roadway, around 1:30 a.m. The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle on Highway 99 near Minter Field Airport around 1:30 a.m. The pedestrian was hit and killed on May 31, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information page. The collision occurred just north of Bakersfield.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a body in the roadway early Friday morning.
On May 31, a pedestrian was struck and killed on Highway 99, south of Merced Avenue, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information page. Multiple reports were received regarding a person down in the roadway, around 1:30 a.m.
This traffic collision occurred just north of Bakersfield, according to the CHP.
