Five Kern County EMS workers have been named 'Stars of Life' for their dedication to patient care and career accomplishments in 2023. The recognition was given during a public ceremony at the Sacramento state capitol and a dinner attended by legislators representing HALL’s 911 response area. The honorees are Paramedic Sarah Dresser, Field Supervisor Jason Achterberg, Assistant Manager Heather Lee, EMT Shannon Agacoili and EMT Anthony Pena.
