Bakersfield (California)
Bakersfield (Bakersfield) is a Chinese-American, Bickfield, Bickfield, or Bakerfield is located in central and southern California. According to the 2010 census, the city has a total population of 347,483. The city was founded in 1869 and is the second largest city in the United States not directly connected to an interstate. Agriculture, oil, processing and manufacturing are the major economies of cities. Bakersfield is the ninth largest city in California and the 51st largest in the United States.

According to the 2000 census, the city is 143.6 square miles (371.92 square kilometers), of which 142.2 square miles (368.30 square kilometers) are land and 1.4 square miles (3.63 square kilometers) are water. This city extends to the Redwood National Forest.
climate
Bakersfield has a desert climate with long, hot, dry summers and short, cool and humid winters. Bakersfield is one of the most sunny cities in the United States. The city only snows next on average in 20 to 30 years. The last available snowfall was January 25, 1999. The month with the highest rainfall was December 2010, with 148mm (5.82 inches). The day with the highest rainfall was February 9, 1978, with 58mm (2.29 inches).
According to data from 1981 to 2010 at Yosemite International Airport in Fresno, the average daily minimum temperature below or equal to 0 °C (32 °F) is 12 days; Daily maximum temperatures exceeding 30 °C (86 °F) are 136 days per day and 12 days above 40 °C (104 °F). The coldest month (December, January) was 8.8 °C (47.8 °F), with an extreme minimum temperature of -11 °C (13 °F) (December 24, 1905). The hottest month (July) was 28.8 °C (83.8 °F) and the highest extreme temperature was 48 °C (118 °F) (July 28, 1908). Annual average precipitation of approximately 164 mm (6.47 inches), annual minimum extreme precipitation of 47 mm (1.87 inches) (1959) and maximum precipitation of 338 mm (13.32 inches) (1998); December-March accounted for about 72% of the annual precipitation. The frost-free period averaged 320 days (27 January to 12 December).
