BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Bakersfield man died more than two weeks after he was shot on East Planz Road, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Reginald Charles Johnson, 51. He died at Kern Medical on March 19 of his injuries from a shooting on March 4, according to a coroner’s release.

Bakersfield police is investigating the shooting that happened in the 1000 block of East Planz Road just before 8 p.m. Officials said Thursday, there were no new details or information about a possible suspect in the shooting.
