BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The inaugural Rooster’s Honky-Tonk Karaoke finals took place Thursday night and a winner has been named.

Yodeling queen Taylor Dunn took the title, but it was close. Robert Reyes took third in the five-week American Idol-style competition, and Byron Butler took second.

For the past five past five weeks, two contestants were eliminated each Thursday night at the downtown club, culminating a showdown of the final three.

Dunn received $500, a recording session and the promise of her song played on 103.7 Outlaw Radio Country.
