The spring weather is currently in full bloom throughout Kern County, but this pleasant condition will only last for one more day before additional rain moves in later in the week.

Wednesday promises clear skies and abundant sunshine, with temperatures exceeding 80 degrees. However, Thursday will bring a dramatic drop in temperatures, and by evening, the rain will arrive persisting intermittently until Friday. As a result, the snow levels will drop to approximately 2,500 feet, potentially affecting mountain passes.

The mountain communities, on the other hand, will enjoy sunny and mild conditions, with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. When the new system arrives on Thursday night, some snowfall is expected.

On Wednesday, the air quality will be moderate, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 67.
